dIGITAL ART

When I joined my university, I decided to try to learn how to do digital drawings, so to motivate myself, I did a "1 hour a day" drawing challenge for a week with the focus on learning how to draw digitally. This was my day 1 result, this day I focused on learning how to use the brushes and the basic features from Clip Studio Paint.)

This is day two of the "1 hour a day" drawing challenge. This time I focused on doing something fast and simple, so I could try the more advanced features from Clip Studio Paint.

Not being a huge fan of the result on day two, I decided to put together what I've learned on day one and two together as a conclusion in "learning the basics on how to use Clip Studio Paint".

Day 4 I decided to focus only on lineart, because I was not feeling happy with it and I felt like I had to improve it.

Day 5 I wanted to finish what I started but this time I wanted to focus on coloring instead of lineart. I've had seem some videos teaching some digital painting techniques that worked really well even on top of wonky linearts.

For day 6 I wanted to increase my speed for lineart, so this day, I gave myself only 20 minutes to come up with an idea and a sketch

Not being satisfied with the result from day 6 and this was my last day, I tried to do it again, finally finalizing the one week challenge I did to myself.

Sketch I made for the character I've made for a game project I have on paper.

1 day homework of character composition.
Diorama

This was the homework for a class name "Game Art" taught by the Prof. Sebastian StammVer perfil de Prof. Sebastian Stamm. Firstly we had to come up with basic character designs for a diorama for a game.

Secondaly we had to practice animation, since some people didn't have practice animation not even pixel art, so he asked us to make a normal walk animation for our characters in pixel art.

It was time to start preparing for the diorama, so we were asked to make a sketch of our image and explain what was our goal with the diorama. I decided to make something inspired by my favorite game when I was a child, Grand Chase., a 2.5D side-scroller.

Initially I decided to make the assets separately so I could animate them a little bit, so initially I wanted to make the 2D art for the main platform where the character would be walking.

Then it was time to make the first background, which I thought it had to be dramatic and sinister to contrast and at the same time highlight the main character's design.

Since the second background would have animations, I made a second one to be in the back to fill the blank spaces.

"Skybox" for the diorama.

At the end I made a frontground to enhance even further the depth of the diorama and the "possible level"

At the end I made some UI to make it more like a game and this was the first iteration of the diorama with the "sun inspired" weapon. The 3D Model of the character and the character animation was not done by me and the VFX for the "skill" was edited by me but the particles are from an online asset.

Same in this case, but I wanted to make something very inspired by the game Grand Chase, so even the animation and the "moon inspired weapon" he's holding are also inspired by existing characters in Grand Chase.
